Foreign Trade Specialist

Our company seeks a Foreign Trade Specialist to join its team. As an SAP consultant, you will be responsible for managing the Foreign Trade area with a focus on GTS and advising business departments on all IT matters based on the defined target architecture as part of projects.

You will strengthen the SAP Foreign Trade team for our international SAP S/4HANA transformation project. Your tasks will include conceiving, designing, and implementing business solutions in GTS considering our governance model, as well as carrying out customization of the application, functional tests, support with integration tests or user acceptance tests, and creating IT concepts as input for our development team.

You will advise and support the selection of suitable applications and be the contact person for external service providers, responsible for managing them in the project. Together with your colleagues, you will provide holistic support for our SAP foreign trade (export control and customs) applications, add-ons, and interfaces to subsystems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Foreign Trade area with focus on GTS and advise business departments on all IT matters.
  • Strengthen SAP Foreign Trade team for international SAP S/4HANA transformation project.
  • Conceive, design, and implement business solutions in GTS.
  • Carry out customization of application, functional tests, and support with integration tests or user acceptance tests.
  • Advise and support selection of suitable applications.
  • Be contact person for external service providers and manage them in the project.
  • Provide holistic support for SAP foreign trade applications, add-ons, and interfaces to subsystems.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in computer science, industrial engineering, business administration, or comparable field of study.
  • Experience: Good professional experience as a consultant in the SAP logistics environment with a focus on GTS, ideally experience in the GTS e4H environment.
  • Skills: In-depth SAP knowledge in GTS Export Management, cross-module integration knowledge in the area of logistics, end-to-end process knowledge, and practical experience in conception and implementation of business processes in SAP GTS.
  • Languages: Very good written and spoken English skills, knowledge in German would be a benefit.
