Software Development Expert

This position focuses on the development of software solutions for multiple projects and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with product owners to define project requirements, develop functional specifications, and create technical designs.
  • Contribute to technical design and specification documents as required.
  • Develop, test, and document new applications and changes to existing system functionality.
  • Lead the development process for software used in the organization.
  • Mentor junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Strong programming skills with a focus on creating high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Effective debugging and critical analysis skills.
  • A proven track record of solving complex problems and designing systems efficiently.
  • Self-motivation and a willingness to meet customer needs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A solid understanding of Agile (Scrum) development processes.
  • An openness to new languages, frameworks, and techniques, with a history of self-development and learning.
Preferred Skills and Experience

In addition to the required qualifications, we are looking for candidates with:

  • Strong web development expertise with JavaScript, TypeScript, React/Redux, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Golang or Java.
  • Knowledge of mobile development with React Native or other mobile platforms.
  • Experience with database systems and SQL (Postgres).
  • Skills in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in GitHub and version control.
  • DevOps skills.
Additional/Helpful Skills and Experience

Candidates with expertise in the following areas will be given preference:

  • Reactive (Rx) programming.
  • Development expertise in C#.
  • Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams.
  • Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Modern/cross-platform C++.
  • Linux system administration.
  • Rider IDE or other JetBrains IDE experience.
  • Familiarity with macOS.
  • Chef/Ansible.
