Job Title: Product Design Specialist

The role of a Product Design Specialist is pivotal in the creation and development of innovative products. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for overseeing the conception and realization of product designs, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.

Your primary focus will be on designing and developing new products, as well as optimizing existing ones to improve their functionality, efficiency, and overall user experience.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure that your designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also feasible from a technical and manufacturing standpoint.


Key Responsibilities:
  • To conceive and develop product designs that align with business objectives and customer needs;
  • To lead the design process from concept to production, collaborating with engineers and manufacturers to ensure smooth execution;
  • To maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market requirements, and competitor activity to inform design decisions;
  • To stay up-to-date with technological advancements and emerging technologies that can enhance product capabilities;
  • To work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and drive innovation within the organization;
  • To participate in design reviews and critique sessions to refine and finalize designs;
  • To manage and maintain accurate records of product designs, including detailed documentation and prototypes;

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in product design, preferably in the automotive or consumer goods industry;
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams;
  • Able to interpret and implement design briefs, working under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations;
  • Knowledge of design principles, human-centered design methodologies, and sustainability practices;
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
