Job Title:

Application Support Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining access control and CCTV systems software and hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure support for access control and CCTV systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues pertaining to access control CCTV systems and other CSI applications
  • Provide remote support to internal clients on system configuration
  • Identify and analyze system failures and provide support to on-site techs for break-fix
  • Track system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits
  • Escalar unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals at the dedicated file depository/knowledgebase
  • Install and configure security system applications on servers
  • Monitor application services hosted on servers

Requirements:

To succeed as an Application Support Engineer, you must have:

  • Access Control and CCTV systems knowledge
  • Installation and Maintenance of Access Control and CCTV Systems experience
  • CCURE 9000 and CCURE GO software and related hardware experience
  • Enterprise CCTV systems like Intellicene, Symphia VMS, Genetec video solutions experience
  • Windows Server Operating systems (e.g. Windows Server 2016, 2019) experience
  • SQL experience
  • Powershell programming experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Technical trouble shooting and reverse engineering skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter and ability to multitask

Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:

Engineering Degree in Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent qualification required. The staff will be working in shifts including night shift. Working hours will be 9 hours a day, 5 days a week.
