The role of Product Design Specialist revolves around creating innovative and functional product designs using a variety of tools and techniques. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for design and a desire to contribute to the development of new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D Models: Utilize Solidworks CAD and other software tools to create accurate and detailed 3D models of products.
  • Tolerance Stack-up Analysis: Perform thorough analysis to ensure product quality and accuracy.
  • Benchmarking and Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve existing products through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) activities.
  • Design Reviews: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to optimize product design and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Production Readiness: Prepare and submit GAD and 3D models for production, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing processes.
  • Productivity Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance productivity and resolve field issues through 8D problem-solving methodologies.

This role requires close collaboration with the team to achieve project goals and contribute to the development of new products. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tolerances/surface finishes is essential for success in this position.

In addition to technical skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills are required to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-6 years in design engineering.
  • Software Skills: Microsoft Office, Solidworks, Autocad.
