Job Title: MEP CAD Technician

Role Overview:

The incumbent supports the development of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health services by creating precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.

Working closely with engineers, designers, and project teams, the technician ensures coordinated, detailed, and compliant documentation that supports efficient project delivery.

  • Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaborate with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Assist in the creation of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Manage drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Navisworks, clash detection, or other BIM coordination tools.
