Job Overview:

Manage the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables, minimizing bad debts, and maintaining healthy cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement credit control policies, procedures, and credit limits to mitigate financial risks.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessments to evaluate new and existing customer creditworthiness.
  • Approve or recommend credit limits and payment terms based on sound business judgment.
  • Regularly monitor the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely debt collection.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and allocate receipts accurately to maintain transparency.
  • Lead the collections team in following up on outstanding invoices and resolving disputes promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address credit issues and enhance customer relationships.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on receivables, aging, DSO, and collection efficiency to inform strategic decisions.
  • Highlight high-risk accounts and overdue balances to senior management for prompt attention.
  • Ensure adherence to company credit policies and regulatory requirements at all times.
