Cloud Delivery Lead

We are seeking an experienced leader to drive software delivery for our higher education client. This role requires deep expertise with cloud-based technologies, Agile methodologies, and engineering leadership.

This position involves managing multiple teams, coaching best practices, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. You will translate business requirements into scalable solutions, participate in architecture/design reviews, and assist with code reviews and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Leadership:
    • Manage multiple teams, ensuring effective communication and project execution.
    • Coach teams on best practices, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Shore Collaboration:
    • Facilitate smooth handoffs with engineering and product leaders.
  • Technical Planning & Execution:
    • Translate business requirements into scalable solutions with architects and senior engineers.
    • Participate in architecture/design reviews and assist with code reviews and troubleshooting.
  • Agile Delivery Management:
    • Oversee project lifecycle: planning, backlog grooming, estimation, sprint execution, and release coordination.
    • Monitor milestones and proactively resolve risks.
  • Talent Development:
    • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and skill development.
    • Set a high standard for performance and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8–10+ years in software engineering with full-stack development exposure.
  • 5+ years in engineering/project management in distributed/global teams.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects from discovery through deployment.
  • Hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails, Python/Django, AWS, PostgreSQL & MySQL, RESTful API design, Git, and CI/CD practices.
