Head Direct Taxation

About This Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Direct Taxation Specialist to lead our direct taxation function and provide strategic advice on domestic and international tax matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on Indian Direct Tax Laws and regulations.
  • Lead tax compliance activities, including drafting submissions for faceless assessment and appeal proceedings.
  • Represent clients before assessing officers and various authorities.
  • Prepare, vet, and file returns of income and TDS returns for individuals, partnership firms, HUF, companies, etc.
  • Brief managers, partners, and counsels for CIT (appeals), tribunal, and high court matters.
  • Support business development and solve day-to-day queries of clients.
Requirements
  • 8-10+ years of experience in direct tax with excellent knowledge of Indian Direct Tax Laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative working.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working presentation skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Expertise in transfer pricing and compliances to support cross-border transactions.
  • Knowledge of government departments and dealing with related challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
