Senior Taxation Professional

We are seeking an experienced Senior Taxation Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Services group, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and detailed review of complex client returns, focusing on Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Fund of Funds, blocker corporation returns, and S-Corporation returns.

  • Prepare and review complex financial services client returns, including Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Fund of Funds, blocker corporation returns, and S-Corporation returns.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of State returns for financial services clients, identifying potential issues and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify international filing requirements through organizational chart analysis and review international tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Train new joiners on concepts and technology, providing timely feedback on project reviews and coaching staff on best practices.
  • Oversee kick-off calls to understand clients and regular connects with US counterparts by teams, intervening in budget conflicts and resource scheduling issues.
  • Guide staff/seniors on potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes and e-filing validations, providing expert guidance and support.

In addition to your technical expertise, we are looking for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can build working relationships with peers, supervisors, and U.S. colleagues.

  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (US) certification.
  • Experience in detail review of tax returns, preferably in the Financial Services sector.
  • Knowledge of CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, Case ware, and other relevant software.
  • At least 5+ years of experience, with significant experience in Financial Services Returns.
