Senior Supply Chain Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our planning function, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and optimizing supply chain operations.

• Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain business processes using the Kinaxis platform.
• Analyze and improve Master Data and Novartis SC processes, participating in transformational programs at the enterprise level.
• Drive functional knowledge in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Expiry Planning, and Capacity Planning with constraints.
• Maintain system integration knowledge to connect with other enterprise or stand-alone systems (interfaces, connections, imports, exports).
• Establish a comprehensive development approach to estimate cost, time, and resources for deploying solutions, aligning with business requirements and solution design.
• Collaborate with Enhancement Factory teams, supporting operations teams with Kinaxis expertise, and driving Novartis-owned solution development standards on complex multi-year programs.
• Implement advanced system solutions where appropriate.
• Support NVS IT BA in requirement gathering and work with NVS Architects in solution design activities.
• Govern external solution integration development team in terms of code quality and effort estimates.
• Evaluate user experience when designing and deploying new solutions.
• Foster effective collaboration between Scrum Master/PM teams, considering upstream and downstream dependencies.
• Ensure consistency and traceability between user requirements, functional specifications, and testing & validation.
• Sustain implemented solutions according to specifications and fit for purpose.

• 10+ years in an equivalent IT role, preferably in Supply Chain Planning area.
• 7+ years using Kinaxis Maestro, particularly in Authoring, Analytics, and Scripting.
• Experience working in the Pharma Industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic Maestro analytics (Netting, CTP, FLP, Substitutions, Expiry) and good grasp of advanced offerings like Supply.AI, Production Wheel, and CCC is a plus.
• Knowledge of how to apply Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning to advance Supply Chain and solve complex challenges is a plus.
• Experience working with Cloud/SaaS applications.
• Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including business requirements definition/process/design, review of functional specifications, development of test plans, testing, user testing, user training, and eventual deployment.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and geographies to drive change and action.
• Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and practices, preferably in software release planning & execution environment.
• Capability to perform in-depth systems design reviews and provide refined functional and/or technical specifications for modification work, resolve break/fix issues, system enhancements, or new implementations.
• Effective interpersonal skills to maintain productive relationships with business teams and users who use the Maestro system.
