Custom Furniture Designer

We are seeking a skilled custom furniture designer to join our team.

  • Job Description:
  • Create high-quality, detailed shop drawings for customised residential and office furniture.
  • Work closely with architects, interior designers, and clients to convert design concepts into technical designs.
  • Evaluate material requirements and ensure designs incorporate appropriate use of wood, veneers, laminates, metals, polishes, and marble/stone finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings for customised furniture, including joinery, finishes, and installation details.
  • Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Provide precise dimensions, hardware specifications, and material indications for factory production.
  • Modify and refine drawings based on site conditions, production limitations, or client feedback.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Product Design, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–6 years of experience designing and detailing luxury/customised furniture for factory production.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software.
  • Strong understanding of joinery techniques, finishes, and furniture ergonomics.

Personal Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to balance creativity with technical feasibility.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
