Job Title:

Automotive Audio System Hardware Designer

Job Summary:

  • Drive the hardware architecture and component selection/decision for next generation automotive audio systems.
  • Develop high-quality sound and seamless integration with vehicle technology by selecting and recommending semiconductor solutions, circuit/PCB designing, and developing electronic components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with vehicle architecture/system design, safety engineers, and buyers/purchasing to ensure chosen components meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements.
  • Recommend and propose the right electronic audio components, including amplifiers, microphone interfaces/audio ADCs, digital signal processors (DSPs), power management integrated circuits (PMICs), speaker interfaces, and digital audio interfaces.
  • Work closely with silicon vendor partners to drive design features and technology road maps.
  • Support HW engineering groups during advanced design phases, system architecture definitions, and ECU development/qualifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunications, or equivalent Engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive embedded electronics designs or hardware/system architectural roles.
  • Knowledge of in-vehicle infotainment systems, audio systems, automotive vehicle connectivity systems, and ECU design, development, and testing.
  • Experience in automotive ECU design, audio standards, automotive testing, and certification.
  • Strong teamwork spirit and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive areas (OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2).
  • Understanding and knowledge of board software/bring-up software, audio DSPs, and microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of safety standards including ISO 26262, Euro NAP, and security regulations.
