Policy Leader

The Public Policy Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's regulatory strategy and ensuring alignment with business objectives within the framework of India's policy environment. This team collaborates closely with government bodies, regulatory departments, and other stakeholders to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic policy initiatives that align with business goals.
  • Represent the organization's interests with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders at local, state, and national levels.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to identify emerging opportunities and challenges that may impact the business.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership on key policy matters.
  • Develop strategies to address critical legislative, regulatory, and public policy proposals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in policy-related matters, offering tactical and strategic advice to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across regulatory, industry, and business networks.
  • Engage with industry associations and forums to advocate for organizational priorities and contribute to shaping relevant policy frameworks.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in public policy and regulatory affairs, with a focus on the Indian market.
  • A strong network of stakeholders, including senior-level contacts, with excellent communication skills.
  • An in-depth understanding of the policy climate in India, combined with sound business judgment and common sense.
  • Ability to anticipate emerging issues and develop strategies to address them effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Sound business acumen and a practical approach to policy development and regulatory compliance.
