About Our Special Needs Education Program

Our program provides dedicated support to children and adults with various disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and Down Syndrome.

We offer pre-vocational and vocational training programs, including the NIOS curriculum, supported by a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals providing physiotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs, in collaboration with parents, therapists, and other staff members.
  • Deliver instruction to students based on their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Modify the standard curriculum to meet the abilities of students with disabilities.
  • Implement and monitor behaviour intervention plans and use positive behaviour supports.
  • Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, counsellors, and parents to support students' academic and social development.
  • Audit and track student performance and progress regularly, adjusting goals accordingly.
  • Maintain a supportive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Accurately maintain student records, including attendance, assessments, and communications.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or equivalent in Multiple Disabilities.
  • 3 to 7 years experience working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and assistive aids and devices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good organisational and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and specialised instructional strategies.
