Java Production Support Engineer

About Position:

We are hiring a Java Production Support Engineer who will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our production systems. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, passionate about solving real-time production issues while contributing to development efforts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Solving critical customer/field technical escalations from our Support, Professional Services, Sales, and Pre-Sales teams using technical and analytical skills.
  • Working closely with the Engineering team to develop solutions for customer-reported problems.
  • Participating in daily scrum meetings to update the development team about ongoing escalations and their statuses.
  • Resolving highly technical customer escalations with clear expectations and timelines.
  • Developing tools and techniques to help with Root Cause Analysis using available data on the platform and by digging deep into code bases.
  • Reducing time to resolve product issues by fixing them as needed after RCA.
  • Providing timely updates to issue reporting teams to improve overall customer satisfaction.

Required Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years' experience in technical product support type roles, preferably in escalations teams.
  • Experience working as L3 escalation engineer taking care of complex customer issues.
  • Software development experience using Java technologies.
  • Good understanding and working experience of MySQL/MariaDB/RDBMS and database concepts.
  • Good understanding and working experience of Microservice architecture environments on AWS.
  • Experience troubleshooting and helping with root cause analysis for customer/support/field reported issues.
