We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Engineer to join our team.

About the Job:

This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for designing, developing and implementing high-performance database systems using Oracle technology. The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle 12c or later releases, including Pluggable Databases (PDBs), Data Guard, RMAN, SQL Tuning Advisor, and other Oracle tools and features.

The selected individual will be expected to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and support groups to ensure that all aspects of the system are properly designed, implemented, and tested.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, organized, and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing Oracle databases for large-scale applications
  • Developing and maintaining complex database queries and stored procedures
  • Troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues
  • Collaborating with development teams to implement new features and enhancements
  • Participating in the review and development of technical documentation and standards

Requirements:

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Relevant certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

Experience:

• At least 3+ years of experience with Oracle database administration and development

• Experience with Oracle 12c or later releases, including PDBs, Data Guard, RMAN, SQL Tuning Advisor, and other Oracle tools and features

• Proven track record of successfully designing, developing, and implementing high-performance database systems

• Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and database security

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and other Oracle tools and features

• Experience with version control systems, such as Git

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex database issues
