Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join our team in India. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support our business operations.

About the Role:

The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with our data analyst and data platform teams to analyze and evaluate existing data systems, continuously update and optimize data models, and implement data strategies. You will also be responsible for developing best practices for data coding naming conventions, default values, semantics, data dictionary, etc. to ensure consistency within the system.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Analyze and evaluate existing data systems and continuously update and optimize data models.">
  • Work closely with Business and Analytics team to understand business needs and translate them into long-term solution data models.">
  • Developing best practices for data coding naming conventions, default values, semantics, data dictionary, etc. to ensure consistency within the system.">
  • Implement data strategies and developing physical data models.">
  • Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.">
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with physical and relational data modelling, with overall 10+ years of industry experience.">
  • Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.">
  • Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.">
  • Strong interpersonal skills.">
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.">
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.">
