Job Title:

Mainframe tester

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance (QA) and automation testing, as well as experience working with JCL, COBOL, SQL, and other mainframe technologies.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are also essential for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in QA manual and automation testing
  • Prior experience working with Mainframe testing tools and technologies, including JCL, COBOL, SQL
  • Automation tools - API test automation using Rest Assured or Karate, Selenium, Cucumber using Java
  • Extensive knowledge of testing lifecycle and core testing processes/techniques using different test approaches
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Awareness of CI/CD and DevOps - Jenkins
  • Ability to communicate clearly with global teams/stakeholders on status and progress of allocated activities
