Network and Server Infrastructure Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Server Infrastructure Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and stability of network infrastructure and server systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in monitoring and troubleshooting issues, supporting deployment configurations, managing storage resources, interacting with vendors, and implementing new connectivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve performance, security, and stability issues in network infrastructure and server systems.
  • Deployment Support: Configure and build new deployments, setting up networking and server components correctly.
  • Storage Management: Manage and optimize storage resources for local and remote server systems.
  • Vendor Interaction: Collaborate with third-party vendors for external connectivity establishment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Networking and Server Activities: Perform hands-on tasks for both networking and server administration to ensure environmental continuity.
  • Connectivity Implementation: Establish new third-party connectivity implementations in managed datacentre locations, considering networking and server requirements.
  • System Optimization: Work with the team to improve performance, efficiency, and resiliency of network and server infrastructure by improving existing configuration and adopting new technologies.

Requirements:

  • Cisco CCNA (or equivalent), ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Server certification required.
  • 7+ years' experience in network and server infrastructure administration, preferably financial securities-related.
  • Direct experience with LAN / WAN Network implementation, configuration, and support preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Information Security technologies such as IDS, IPS, VPNs, and firewalls preferred.
  • Knowledge of MPLS technologies and Network Management preferred.
  • Experience with FIX protocol networking connectivity preferred.
  • Experience or exposure to configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Server RDS 2012 - 2019 preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V networking aspects in 2012 R2 and 2019 preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of self-reliance.
  • Demonstrated history as a 'Jack of all trades' in technical infrastructure.
  • Experience or exposure to Linux and cloud technologies preferably Amazon Web Services a plus.
  • Experience in financial (preferably securities industry) is strongly desired.
  • Good command of spoken and written English required.
