Indirect Tax Specialist Role

The role of Indirect Tax Specialist involves providing expert advice and guidance on GST Advisory & Litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions.
  • Draft advises, opinions, and compliance reports.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for client meetings and trainings.
  • Analyse client data to estimate tax impact on business transactions.
  • Develop scenarios to identify the most tax-efficient business model.
  • Contribute to articles, monographs, and other publications.
  • Deliver excellent client service and proactively identify technical issues.
  • Handle tax matters, including submissions, notices, appeals, and client representation.
  • Work independently on smaller clients and develop rapport with middle-level client management.
  • Stay up-to-date with firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
  • Apply knowledge to deliver solutions to clients and add value to their business.

Networking and Identification of Opportunities:

  • Identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicate with managers.
  • Network internally to gain understanding of client issues.
  • Compile legal databases, contribute to study sessions, and stay updated on latest legal developments.
  • Mentor junior associates and guide them on their working.
