Mobile Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative mobile applications.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced mobile applications using Kotlin and/or Java. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, as well as collaborate with outside data sources and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.). The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and debugging skills, as well as experience with version control systems like Git and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build advanced mobile applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.).
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Kotlin and Java.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Experience with Android Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room, etc.).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.g., Retrofit, Glide, Firebase).
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
