About the role:

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Food and Nutrition practice.

This key position will require a strong strategic partner for our clients, driving initiatives that lead to client acquisition and retention.

As a director, you will be accountable for consulting projects in the Food and Nutrition area, defining and driving business growth strategies.

Your activities will drive sustainable and profitable expansion of our services.

You will build a high-performing team and process that produces impactful research-driven viewpoints and thought leadership.

You will leverage your knowledge of client business challenges and industry issues to drive continuous innovation in scope and service delivery.

You will represent our value proposition through various forums, crafting a distinctive identity for our services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving business growth and sustainability
    • Building and executing a strategy to meet annual targets
    • Strategizing and driving business development with or without support from sales colleagues
  • Client acquisition, engagement, and retention
    • Identifying and executing initiatives to enhance client engagement and satisfaction
    • Leading the team to leverage marketing capabilities towards building a distinct brand and targeting relevant prospects
    • Driving sales enablement and targeting
    • Facilitating key meetings with clients and prospects by clearly articulating our services and value proposition
  • Team leadership
    • Leading, hiring, developing, training, and mentoring a team of Consultants and Research Specialists
    • Setting processes and review mechanisms to ensure successful execution of programs and tasks
    • Driving organizational policies and initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A science/engineering background preferred (M.S/PhD) in fields relevant to the Food and Nutrition industry
  • 15+ years of experience in consulting/custom research & advisory with direct experience in building and delivering similar research projects
  • Strong grasp of technology issues, innovation frontiers, and business dynamics in the Food and Nutrition sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, planned, pragmatic, detail-oriented individual
  • Ability to plan, break down, delegate, and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Extreme intellectual curiosity paired with strong analytical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of various research tools and methodologies, management frameworks, data visualization tools, and business writing/presentation skills
  • Organizational and cultural sensitivity
  • International business experience a plus

They will be able to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to clients and stakeholders, and have a proven track record of driving business growth and sustainability.
