The Role: We are looking for a Sports Nutritionist to join Inspire Institute of Sport, with a passion and expertise in Applied Sports Nutritionist. You will be responsible for working closely with Head Coaches, and the Sports Science Department and making your mark in a world-class performance environment. This is your opportunity to directly impact the success of elite athletes in India through applied sports nutrition support.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement a world-class strategy for the Sports nutrition department that will align to the IIS mission.
  • Provide tailored nutrition support through workshops, one-on-one consultations, and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with elite coaches and specialists including strength & conditioning, psychology, physiology, and sports medicine professionals.
  • Advising athletes on nutrition guidelines for training, competition, recovery (injury), weight management, hydration, and more.
  • Analyzing athletes' dietary practices, body composition, and energy balance through applied sport nutrition support.
  • Maintain comprehensive electronic nutritional records and, respecting individual athlete confidentiality, share appropriate levels of information with staff members (utilising central database) in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate the collection of athlete specific information, including the monitoring and evaluation of nutritional assessments longitudinally, and its impact on performance and recovery.

  • Perform all such other services which may be required of him/her by the Advisory Board, or the Trust.

The Person

  • Masters Degree in Sports Nutrition, Dietetics or related subject from a recognised University Essential
  • Experience working in sport for a minimum 3 Years Essential
  • Evidence of working with international level athletes Essential
  • Understand the rules and regulations associated to NADA, WADA and Sports Federations around anti-doping Essential
  • Experience using a Data Management/ Athlete Management System for efficient and safe storage of information Highly Desirable
  • Working with a national team and/or multiple sports Desirable
  • Working in a recognised sports and/or high-performance institute environment within a multi-disciplinary team Desirable
