Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled EDI expert to lead our electronic data interchange efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting EDI solutions using IBM Sterling to support seamless electronic data exchange with business partners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • EDI Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot EDI solutions using IBM Sterling to support efficient electronic data interchange with business partners.
  • Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EDI with Order Management Systems (OMS), ensuring smooth order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment.
  • Trading Partner Management: Manage and support EDI mapping, translation, and communication processes with trading partners.
  • Onboarding and Testing: Work with customers and external partners to onboard, test, and maintain EDI connections.
  • Issue Resolution: Monitor and resolve EDI-related issues, including transmission errors, mapping discrepancies, and communication failures.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of EDI failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and company-specific EDI requirements. Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including EDI mapping specifications, system configurations, and workflows.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Proven experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and/or IBM Sterling File Gateway.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and industry-specific transaction sets. Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and their integration with EDI processes. Strong understanding of EDI mapping, document translation, and communication protocols (e.g., AS2, SFTP, FTP). Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex EDI issues across multiple platforms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and external partners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
