Inventory Management Specialist

The role of a Spare Parts Incharge at Aditya Honda Motorcycles involves overseeing the parts department, managing inventory, and ensuring that necessary motorcycle parts are available for repairs and sales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate maintenance of motorcycle spare parts inventory.
- Regularly monitor stock levels, track usage, and place orders to avoid shortages.
- Manage storage of parts in an organized manner to facilitate easy retrieval.
- Ordering and Procurement
- Coordinate with suppliers or Honda's central parts distribution to order necessary parts.
- Monitor lead times and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Stay updated on new products or parts that become available for Honda motorcycles.
- Sales and Customer Service
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the right spare parts for their motorcycles.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations when customers inquire about parts compatibility.
- Ensure efficient parts sales, both for repairs and for upgrades or modifications.
- Technical Support
- Work closely with the service department to ensure availability of required parts for ongoing repairs and services.
- Assist mechanics or service team in identifying and sourcing hard-to-find or specific parts.
- Quality Control
- Ensure all incoming parts meet Honda standards.
- Handle warranty claims and returns, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Record Keeping & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing parts.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, sales, and order status.
- Team Supervision
- Supervise and train junior staff or parts assistants.
- Delegate tasks and ensure smooth workflow within the spare parts department.
- Budget Management
- Monitor and control spare parts department budget.
- Track costs and ensure procurement and sales align with financial goals.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience in Automotive Parts Management
- Minimum 1 year of experience in managing automotive spare parts or background in mechanical knowledge, especially for motorcycles.
- Organizational Skills
- Strong ability to manage inventory, track parts, and organize large variety of components.
- Customer Service Orientation
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and service teams.
- Attention to Detail
- Ensuring right parts are ordered, delivered, and used.
- Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of Honda motorcycles and types of spare parts required for repairs or upgrades.
