Procurement Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to lead the procurement of IT hardware, software, and related services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and contract with vendors to optimize spend and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage administrative materials and services, including steel and cement for new projects and expansions.
  • Develop strategic plans to achieve speed and cost excellence.
  • Take ownership of the spend category, manage it with consistency in delivery, availability, cost savings, risk mitigation, and continuous improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in engineering (Computer Engg, IT, or Electronics) with a postgraduate degree in Materials Management or MBA in IT Systems preferred.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in a similar role in a large organization.

Soft Skills:

  • Creative mindset with team spirit and ability to navigate different situations.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Collaborative approach with problem-solving attitude.
  • Process orientation and strong ethics.
  • IT/Computer savvy with Excel/MS Office skills.

Requirements:

  3. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
