Job Overview:

  • As a seasoned procurement expert, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing value within the Canadian business and IT spend categories.
  • You will identify and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to drive the sourcing process forward.
  • Managing the execution of the sourcing process is crucial to your success in this position.
  • Support clients on related governance requirements for their deals, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Continuously improve various procurement processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage high-volume low-risk engagements with a focus on prompt turnaround.
  • Lead clients through the sourcing process, including contract negotiations and execution.
  • Assess, define, and resolve procurement issues, including contractual terms and conditions.
  • Apply project management concepts to plan and execute the sourcing process.
  • Ensure compliance with governance processes and policies prior to final approval.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience.
  • Proven expertise in leading sourcing initiatives, developing strategies, and driving results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve process goals.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty, adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Familiarity with vendor contract language, SAP Ariba Contracts, and Sourcing Modules.
  • Understanding of general procurement challenges and solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal legal counsel and other governance stakeholders.

  • Effective client relationship management skills.
  • Financial analysis skills, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Confidence in ability to lead negotiations to successful conclusions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
  • Drive for results and sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
