System Integration Specialist Job Description

Key Role Summary

As a System Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and integrating complex RF systems and subsystems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ensuring optimal performance across various frequencies and environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Integrate RF systems and subsystems, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, filters, amplifiers, and signal processors.
  • Develop test plans and perform RF testing and validation (e.g., S-parameters, power, gain, noise figure, VSWR).
  • Analyze system performance using RF simulation and analysis tools.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues at system and component levels; recommend and implement design or process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure RF performance meets specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge in RF systems integration, RF hardware development, or related engineering roles.
  • Solid understanding of RF concepts, including impedance matching, modulation, filtering, and signal propagation.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, power meters).
  • Awareness of RF simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, or MATLAB.
  • Strong knowledge of active & passive RF devices, cables, and connectors.
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC and their effect on RF systems.

Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will work in a lab environment with instrumentation calibration required for RF test environments.
