Platform Engineering Leader

We are seeking a seasoned platform engineering leader with expertise in platform development and technical leadership.

About the Role:

  • This role requires owning module design, spearheading implementation, and guiding a team of engineers.
  • Design and architect robust, scalable platform modules aligned with business objectives and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement platform solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Mentor and guide a team of platform engineers, fostering growth and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the platform for enhanced functionality and user experience.
  • Ensure platform reliability and security through comprehensive testing and adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Python programming with a solid foundation in writing clean, efficient, and scalable code.
  • Proven experience in serverless application development, designing microservices, and working within event-driven architectures.
  • Portfolio of successful SaaS platform deployments on AWS showcasing expertise in building and shipping high-quality applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud computing concepts, AWS architectural best practices, and familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to optimize complex systems for efficiency and scalability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders across various levels.

Bonus Points:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer certification.
  • Experience with the AWS Boto3 SDK for Python.
  • Exposure to other cloud platforms like Azure or GCP.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
