Job Title Manager Platform Engineering Common accountabilities Accountable for the budget performance and results of a medium-sized team or multiple teams of employees Influences the resource budget and policy planning and sets concrete development plans for the team members u200b Works with a high level of autonomy based on management directions escalating issues only when necessary Identify training and development needs of the team and drive their upskilling Ability to work in a globally matrixed and complex organization Good communication skills Follow latest trends and developments in own field and adapt these in own job organization Specific accountabilities Accountability and responsibility of infrastructure components such as various platform components containers and cloud operations Managing and setting up cloud-based software infrastructure Planning and delivery of the shift from legacy and network-based environments to cloud based solutions often requiring a combination of former Network Engineer System Administration and Storage Administration roles Evaluation planning and development of QA automation frameworks and administration of QA process tools and supporting technologies Planning and delivery of QA artefacts for web-based applications running on hardware devices Responsible and accountable for driving security initiatives manage security backlog setup source code and vulnerability scans compliance documentation drive the fixing of security holes working in close collaboration with the application development teams Take ownership of ensuring increased productivity of the engineering teams via tooling and infrastructure improvements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand pain points in existing infrastructure and engineering practices and identify and prioritize improvements Understand current vs modern monitoring and alerting mechanisms and propose and drive improvements Evaluation of industry standard tools and frameworks Experience Required 10 years in Platform engineering with at least 3 years in a lead management position with at least two preferably all out of Quality Platform and Security in the scope of direct accountability and delivery responsibility Analyst coordinator engineer expert role in several of the following areas Security project coordination planning experience - or involvement with such Secure Development Lifecycle SDL SSDLC BSIMM OWASP SAMM or other similar knowledge awareness scanner sectools deployment take-up experience Hands on experience in CI CD pipeline design automation framework development SDLC processes cloud migration and other platform engineering aspects Mandatory exposure to one of the cloud platforms preferably Azure or AWS Diversity Inclusion Amadeus aspires to be a leader in Diversity Equity and Inclusion in the tech industry enabling every employee to reach their full potential by fostering a culture of belonging and fair treatment attracting the best talent from all backgrounds and as a role model for an inclusive employee experience Amadeus is an equal opportunity employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to gender race ethnicity sexual orientation age beliefs disability or any other characteristics protected by law
