Lifestyle Content Creator Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned lifestyle content creator to join our team at Samayam Tamil. The ideal candidate will have 10–12 years of professional writing experience, including substantial time spent in print media, and possess a strong background in lifestyle journalism.

This role demands excellent command over the Tamil language and the ability to create engaging, reader-friendly, and impactful lifestyle content across categories such as health, fashion, food, travel, relationships, and culture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Writing, editing, and curating high-quality lifestyle stories
  • Ideating fresh and trending story concepts that resonate with Tamil readers
  • Adapting long-form print media sensibilities into digital-friendly storytelling formats
  • Working closely with the editorial team to maintain the highest quality and accuracy standards
  • Ensuring stories are optimized for digital platforms without compromising authenticity and creativity
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • At least 10–12 years of proven experience in journalism/content writing
  • 5–7 years of experience in covering the lifestyle beat (print or digital)
  • Prior work experience in print media is mandatory
  • Exceptional command over Tamil language (written and verbal)
  • Strong understanding of audience preferences in lifestyle content
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining creativity and originality
