Financial Analyst Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial data analysis and interpretation.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and approving transactions, preparing financial statements, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve monthly journal entries for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued expenses, payroll, and inventory transactions
  • Understand the purpose of reconciliations and approve bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Prepare and review client financial statements, including month-over-month variance analysis and actual-to-budget analysis
  • Analyze and interpret financial information for client management and provide decision support
  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance clients' monthly operations and suggest process improvements
  • Define and document repeatable methodologies with appropriate tools and templates for future projects
  • Stay up-to-date on our technology stack and identify additional processes, systems, modules, and integrations that can drive month-end close efficiencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills essential
  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously and possess excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Experience in public accounting, consulting, or professional services environment preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) necessary
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines crucial
  • Adaptability to change essential
  • Experience with automated accounting systems (Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com, Tallie) beneficial
  • Blackline experience a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP fundamental
  • Pursuing CPA or holding a CPA certification advantageous but not required
