Senior Data Engineering Lead

This role involves leading the design, development and implementation of scalable data processing systems using Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink or similar platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain a data engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
  2. Leverage expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and modern software development languages and frameworks to drive innovation.
  3. Manage a high-performing team of data engineers to deliver complex data projects on time and within budget.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish effective communication channels and project status updates.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 7+ years) in a senior leadership role within software development or software engineering.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex data projects using Big Data tools and solutions.
  • Extensive experience in software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
  • Strong technical expertise in data architecture, design patterns, and modern data development languages and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Bonus Requirements:
  • Exposure to Big Data tools and solutions.
  • Experience in design and architecture review.
