The Enterprise Validation Engineering team at Dell is on a mission to deliver next-generation application enhancements and new products that transform industries. As a Principal Systems Development Engineer, you will be part of this dynamic team that takes charge of testing, evaluation, and validation of all our devices – leveraging advanced technologies, tools, and software engineering methodologies.

This exciting role offers an opportunity to work with our esteemed team in Bangalore and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions that shape the future. You will be responsible for strategizing enterprise system test for PowerEdge or equivalent programs, planning, executing, testing, delivering, and reporting defects. Additionally, you will script automation/snippets to enable faster test execution.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Create/test plan/test strategy of offer test team by creating new use cases based on customer usage model and implementing PPAs.
    • Test strategy ownership for all current and new technologies and its implementation via real workloads.
      • Work with validation architect in strategizing/planning/test execution.
        • Collaborate with development/validation teams across geographies to drive test goals.
          • Drive/deliver automation for the program undertaken and work with automation lead to get it implemented.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong system and in-depth technical knowledge of server architecture (BIOS, CPLD, BMC, Memory), storage domain (SAN, NAS, NVMe, SAS, SATA), networking (FC, FCoE, ISCSI, TCP/IP), GPU, DPU AI/ML workloads, networking, and server operating systems (Ubuntu 22.04, Windows 2019, 2022, Red Hat RHEL 8.0 or SUSE, ESXi 6.5, 6.7, 7.0).
    • Minimum 8-11 years of relevant experience.
      • Delivering as a test execution engineer & proven expertise in working with development teams.
        • Understanding program requirements/scope to define a workable plan for the program e.g. effort estimation, hardware/infrastructure requirement.
          • Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, and excellent analytical skills.
