Family Relationship Manager Job Description

Overview

Our organization is seeking an experienced professional to manage and nurture relationships with high-net-worth family members. The successful candidate will oversee wealth management activities and ensure seamless execution of financial and personal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management
    • Act as the primary point of contact for the family and their representatives.
    • Build deep, trusted relationships while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion.
    • Understand family priorities, preferences, and sensitivities to anticipate needs.
  • Wealth & Investment Coordination
    • Liaise with internal investment teams and external advisors to monitor portfolios.
    • Support in evaluating new investment opportunities and ensure timely reporting to the family.
    • Coordinate with tax and legal advisors to ensure compliant and efficient wealth structuring.
  • Financial Oversight & Reporting
    • Consolidate and present periodic reports on investments, expenses, and overall family wealth.
    • Track cash flows, budgets, and capital calls, ensuring smooth execution of transactions.
    • Highlight risks, performance trends, and opportunities to the family office leadership.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements (domestic & international).
    • Maintain proper documentation of investment decisions, contracts, and family directives.
    • Support in setting up governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Family Support & Lifestyle Management
    • Assist in managing philanthropic activities, foundations, and trusts.
    • Coordinate with service providers for family needs (property managers, travel, insurance, etc.).
    • Provide solutions to ad-hoc requests with discretion and efficiency.
  • Strategic Support
    • Work with family office leadership on long-term planning, succession planning, and generational wealth transfer.
    • Provide insights into market trends, wealth preservation, and new opportunities.
    • Support in building a cohesive approach across investments, estate, and lifestyle requirements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or relevant professional certifications from a Tier 1 institute.
