Chief Coal Mine Planner

Resource Modelling and Pit Optimization: Develop and implement advanced resource models to optimize mine planning and pit design.

• Prepare detailed resource models for coal mines, incorporating geological and geotechnical data.
• Conduct pit optimization studies to maximize recoverable reserves and minimize costs.

DPR Preparation: Lead the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for mining blocks, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather required data and information.
• Develop comprehensive DPRs that meet regulatory standards.

Mining Plan Preparation: Prepare Mining Plans that balance operational and statutory requirements.

• Develop strategic mining plans that align with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and operational best practices.

Exploration Programmes: Conduct thorough exploration programmes to identify new mining opportunities.

• Lead exploration teams to discover new coal deposits and assess their feasibility.
• Develop recommendations for further exploration or development.

Liaison with Statutory Bodies: Establish effective liaison with regulatory authorities to ensure timely clearances and approvals.

• Negotiate with government agencies to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Requirements:

• 60% and above throughout education.
• B.Tech / M.Tech (Mining Engineer) with 10+ years' experience in similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of project planning & tracking tools, MS Office, Auto-CAD, and documentation management.
• Leadership experience in mining approvals, commencement, and operations.
• Understanding of statutory clearances and relevant Acts, regulations & Government guidelines.
