Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient solutions.

This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, including OpenStack, containerization, and orchestration platforms.

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud environments using Kolla-Ansible and TripleO.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Integrate cloud environments with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
  • 7–10 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Proven experience deploying OpenStack using Kolla-Ansible (container-based deployment) and TripleO (bare-metal deployment).
  • Relevant 3–5 years of experience with containerization technologies, primarily Docker.
  • Relevant 2–3 years of experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift administration.
  • Proficiency in Ceph storage setup and management for block, file, and object storage (S3, Swift, or equivalent).
  • Strong proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management.
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems administration (preferably RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts relevant to cloud environments (VLANs, VXLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing).
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • RHCE certified.
Good-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
