Job Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Python Backend Developer with 4+ years of experience for a 2-month contractual role. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend APIs and services to support a sustainability initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
  • Ensure robustness, scalability, and security of the backend platform.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end developers and other stakeholders.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing systems as required.
  • Deliver high-quality output within a tight deadline.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.
  • Strong command over frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
  • Proven experience building RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Familiar with version control systems (Git), Docker, and basic DevOps practices.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Experience in data-centric or sustainability-related projects.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous tasks and message queues (Celery, RabbitMQ, etc.).
