Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to undertake the assessment of existing bridges and prepare comprehensive reports on steel composite, pretension/posttension structures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies for strengthening and repair, designing new bridge structures, and ensuring compliance with UK standards and design guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and assessing bridge structures under the guidance of a senior or principal engineer;
  • Preparing and assisting in compiling drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within given deadlines;
  • Ensuring correct implementation of document control and QA processes for issue and filing/archiving of all work carried out;
  • Producing work to specified WSP design standards and suggesting revisions as necessary.
Requirements

  • Proactive and self-motivated approach with a strong team mindset;
  • Mandatory skills include bridge design, Eurocodes, and UK CEng qualifications.
