Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define technical specifications for product hardware, ensuring high-quality designs that meet customer requirements.
  • Conduct rigorous design reviews with a focus on system-level integration and reliability.
  • Monitor development progress and create comprehensive test plans to verify electrical, environmental, and functional compliance.
  • Perform thorough FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to evaluate reliability and ensure no safety or liability concerns related to the product.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to track product development milestones and coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Oversee DFX (Design for Excellence) updates and lead product life cycle management efforts.
  • Mentor junior engineers in design best practices and ensure adherence to established technical standards.
  • Research new technologies and concepts to guide future product innovation and cost-effective solutions.
  • Identify scalable technological alternatives and validate design concepts through simulations and prototyping.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, including bills of materials, circuit diagrams, and design-related documents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Power Electronics with 8-12 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of closed-loop control and compensator design principles.
  • Experience with high-speed or high-power semiconductor devices, specifically power converter designs over 100kVA.
  • Excellent technical knowledge, competence, and system-level design expertise.
  • Proven track record of managing complex power electronics projects involving analog and digital electronics.
  • Skills in EMI filter design, product qualification/compliance testing, and derating techniques.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation tools like SIMULINK.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience mentoring small teams and working effectively in an agile product development model.
