Exciting Leadership Opportunity in Power Electronics

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced power electronics professional with a strong background to lead our technical vision, architecture, and roadmap.

  • Technical Vision: Define the technical direction for power electronics systems ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
  • System Design: Oversee the design, simulation, prototyping, and validation of high-efficiency rectifier and DC-DC converter systems (10 kW to >5 MW).
  • Cost-effectiveness and Scalability: Drive innovation in cost-effective, scalable, and high-efficiency power conversion for electrolyzer stacks.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of power electronics engineers and technicians.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with component vendors, contract manufacturers, and external design partners.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant grid codes, EMC/EMI standards, UL, IEC, IEEE, or other regulatory frameworks.
  • Firmware Architecture: Guide the firmware architecture, coding standards, testing, and release processes to ensure high reliability and maintainability.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on power electronics.
  • Experience: 18+ years of industry experience in power electronics, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of AC-DC and DC-DC conversion topologies, especially in multi-kilowatt to multi-megawatt power classes.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
