Job Title: Atlassian Administrator

About the Role:

  • Work collaboratively with Senior Technical Management, Product Owners and Project Managers to develop and design solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Deliver value-driven improvements without unnecessary investment in new products by leveraging best practices and optimizing existing tools and processes.
  • Align Technology solutions with Operational areas to focus on practical delivery of solutions architecture that drives business outcomes.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert ('SME') for Atlassian Jira and Confluence, providing expertise on related add-ons.
  • Take ownership of issue resolution, providing timely updates and supporting users with best practice advice until issues are resolved.
  • Analyze and resolve simple and medium-complexity problems encountered.
  • Proactively assess new upcoming features on cloud and communicate their value to stakeholders.
  • Adhere to Security Policy surrounding platform standards and provide engineering solutions to support security initiatives.
  • Maintain operational efficiency by identifying opportunities to change support arrangements and onboard new technology effectively.
  • Ensure effective communication across departments and geographically dispersed teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate plans verbally (presenting) and in written form at all levels.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting, implementing, and supporting Jira and Confluence Cloud, alongside experience in Atlassian administration and troubleshooting.
  • Able to manage Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud within a professional environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and cloud-based project management tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security policies, user management, best practices, design, usage, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in a cloud-based setting.
  • Proficiency in Shell, Python, and Groovy scripting for automating tasks to minimize manual workload.
  • Strong knowledge in creating reports on Jira Dashboards and EazyBI.
  • Outstanding implementation skills in managing Jira custom fields, workflow management, and developing common templates.
  • Considerable experience in integrating Jira and Confluence with third-party tools.
  • Ability to optimize costs by identifying and substituting unnecessary plugins with cloud-native features.
