Senior Business Continuity Specialist

This position is responsible for executing and supporting the enterprise IT Disaster Recovery process to ensure critical services can be resumed with agreed-upon service levels.
Key Responsibilities- Develops and implements business recovery plans, reviewing and revising existing protocols.
- Conducts risk assessments analyzing potential business impacts of unpredictable interruptions such as natural disasters or security breaches.
- Drives alignment of IT organization priorities with key business objectives.
- Identifies and implements recovery operations allowing the company to function at limited capacity during infrastructure damage or destruction.
- Creates practice drills for plan execution.
- Develops and tracks program metrics to show activities and progress.
- Reviews and maintains business continuity and crisis management tools.
- Coordinates emergency management plans with local and federal agencies.
- Supports response coordination and communications during a business disruption.
- Suitable candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in disaster recovery planning.
- Prior experience in IT, preferably in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
