Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Management expert to lead end-to-end procurement operations for solar projects. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in solar technology, contracts, and supplier markets, with proven success in managing complex procurement cycles under tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop sourcing strategies for solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and other Balance of System (BOS) components.
  • Align procurement plans with project timelines, technical requirements, and quality standards.
  • Lead tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract finalization with vendors and service providers.
  • Establish strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
  • Conduct vendor performance evaluations, audits, and capability assessments.
  • Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams to forecast requirements and resolve supply-related issues.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, technical specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Identify alternate sourcing options and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • 7-10 years of progressive SCM experience, with at least 5 years in the solar sector.
  • Proven track record in high-value procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiations.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of solar technology, contracts, and domestic/international supplier markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, contract drafting, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and MS Office tools.
