Job Summary:

A top engineer is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies that align with the company's overall mission, vision, values, and strategies. The role requires a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering and excellent leadership skills to manage the hotel's engineering department.

  • Participates in the strategy development process
  • Develops and implements operational plans to achieve departmental goals
  • Monitors performance regularly and adjusts strategies as needed
  • Contributes to annual budget planning
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Maximizes profitability by directing the Engineering department

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Engineering department and external vendors to ensure superior service and quality
  • Develops and implements quality control programs
  • Reviews contracts and negotiates revisions to contractual agreements with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Interprets plans and contract terms with the Engineering team, management, clients, and vendors
  • Monitors adherence to safety codes, health regulations, and other regulatory requirements
  • Maintains Responsible Business practices and training for the hotel
  • Manages hotel renovations and coordinates project status with the technical services office, architects, licensing agencies, contractors, and hotel management

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
