Job Title: Senior Java Microservices Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Java Microservices Engineer to drive the development of our microservices-based architecture using Java and Spring Boot frameworks. This is a key role in shaping our technical capabilities and ensuring seamless integration with external systems.

About the Role:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java-based microservices applications that meet the evolving needs of our business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Develop efficient backend solutions that integrate with external systems and APIs, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to best practices (unit testing, source control, continuous integration, automation, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a timely manner, leveraging your expertise in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies to ensure alignment and progress towards project goals.
  • Maintain detailed documentation related to architecture, processes, and system components to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture.
  • Proficient in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, including data modeling and query optimization techniques.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and API gateway concepts, with experience in implementing secure API integrations.
  • Good understanding of message queues (e.g., Solace or similar), including producer-consumer patterns and messaging protocols.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, HBase, Hadoop, or other scalable databases, with knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, with a focus on automation and continuous delivery.
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub, with experience in managing version control and collaborating with distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure smooth deployment and scaling of microservices applications.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, including iterative development and continuous improvement principles.
