We are seeking an experienced Design Lead to join our team and drive the creation of user-centric designs for technical users. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and SREs to design features that simplify complex workflows, ensure scalability, and provide delightful user experiences.

This role offers the opportunity to influence and lead the design strategy for our industry-leading SaaS platform in the SRE space. You will take the lead in translating complex workflows into intuitive designs that delight our users, working closely with stakeholders to refine designs and ensure seamless implementation.

About the Role

As a Design Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • User Research: Collaborate with SREs, engineering leaders, and DevOps teams to deeply understand their needs, conducting research, usability testing, and data analysis to uncover insights and refine designs.
  • Design Creation: Craft wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for features like infrastructure dashboards, alerting systems, and workflow automations, ensuring that the platform is not only functional but a joy to use.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers to align designs with business goals and partner with engineers to ensure smooth implementation of your designs.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of UX trends in SaaS and enterprise tools, applying best practices to our platform, developing scalable design systems, and reusable components for consistent, cohesive experiences.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: 5+ years in UX design, preferably with SaaS or enterprise tools.
  • User-Centric Thinking: Proven ability to conduct research and simplify complex workflows into intuitive interfaces.
  • Technical Fluency: Familiarity with infrastructure tools, cloud platforms, or DevOps workflows is a big plus.
  • Design Expertise: Mastery of design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with a focus on prototyping and iteration.
  • Collaboration: Strong communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio that showcases your ability to design for technical, data-heavy workflows.
