Job Title: Database Systems Specialist

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Oracle database administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of our databases, ensuring their smooth functioning and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Administration: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software to ensure its optimal performance and reliability.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a strong foundation in database concepts and administration.
  • Experience: Freshers or experienced candidates with basic knowledge of Oracle database administration can apply.
  • Skills: Understanding of Oracle database architecture, including datafiles, control files, redo logs, and undo management.

Technical Skills:

  • Oracle Database: Experience with Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • SQL and PL/SQL: Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to write efficient and effective database code.
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager: Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM), including configuration, management, and monitoring of database environments.
