Job Description">

CognitiveBotics is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join its team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with software testing life cycle and development life cycle, as well as proficiency in writing test cases and bug reports. They should also be familiar with Agile/Scrum methodology and have strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, developing and executing test plans, and performing manual testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications. The candidate must be able to identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. They should also ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.

The successful candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues. They will also provide timely and detailed test execution status reports to the QA Lead/Project Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Good understanding of different types of testing: functional, regression, integration, UAT, smoke, sanity, exploratory testing
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
